Our History
In 1886, William Grant fulfilled a lifelong ambition by building his own distillery. He named in Glenfiddich, Coclic for Valley of the Deer, and on Christmas Day 1887 the first drop flowed from the stills.
Today, still owned by William Grant's family, Glenfiddich is the world's leading single malt.
Our Coopers and Casks
We are one of few distilleries to retain on on-site cooperage, ensuring every cask we use in of the highest quality.
After 18 years in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, our whisky is married in oak tuna for at least three months in small, numbered batches. With award-winning depth and complexity, Glenfiddich 18 Year Old has notes of baked apple and cinnamon.
Our Awards
Since 2000, Glenfiddich has received more awards then any other single malt Scotch Whisky at the International Spirits Challenge and International Wine and Spirit Competition.
